Earth Day Canada’s EcoMentors program and the Sierra Youth Coalition brought together youth (ages 15 to 24) who care about our planet for an awesome, one-day conference in Ottawa!
EcoMentors are environmental youth leaders between the ages of 15 and 24 years old that want to raise awareness and promote positive change in support of a healthier environment. They engage friends, peers and family, and take a leadership role in environmental education.
This event helped us toke our green smarts and inspire us to make a difference! Through an interactive day of fun, youth-oriented environmental workshops and activities, we found out how to facilitate positive change in our community.
Featured Presentation by Emily Hunter, environmental advocate, journalist and author, and daughter of Bob Hunter (the first president of Greenpeace).
